Finally got my PI intake installed. My engine is still missing. I thought i was b/c of the anti-freeze leaking into the spark plugs wells. Although i didn't blow them out until this afternoon, so maybe the moisture is still causing the wires to short. Any other ideas about what might be causing a rough idle and a random miss when under a load. I was really hoping this problem would be gone after installing this new intake. Please Help!!!

Jake795, check the ignition coils. I see you have a 98 model. 1996-1998 years with the coil packs are prone to cracking on the bottom of the coil...check this out. Also, the condenser located next to the coil (helps suppress radio noise) sometimes fails which can lead to a miss. Remove it temporarily and see if the miss goes away. I'll try checking out my coil packs tomorrow after work. That will give me more driving time to see if the computer clears itself up. I already went through the whole resetting the comp procedure with no change at all. making me think that something else it the culprit. But at least i'm no longer leaking coolant all over the place and i can drive around again
Forgot to mention that the install wasn't TOO bad. Had some bolts that were PITA to get two on the back of the heads next to the firewall. I wish i would have had more driving time on the stock intake. Now i will never know how much of an improvement it made. Especially can't tell if it's still missing like this!

M-9424-p46 That's what is printed on the box. It's a ford racing part. Go to www.summitracing.com and do a search for PI Intake. It's the only one that should be listed. I've looked all over in my summit catalog and could not find it. As for tools i suggest a good air wrench for removal just to speed things up, but can be done with basic hand tools. Lots of metric nuts and bolts to take down. I also suggest getting some type of ratcheting Wrench to help get the bolts on the back of the engine close to the firewall. They are a big time saver. And my final suggestion is to get in touch with Randy over in the parts forum of Modular depot and tell him your plans and he will set you up with the parts that you need.
