Just thought i would introduce myself before i start flooding the board with question. As you can see in the above picture, i have a 1965 coupe that has a long way to go. Other than brakes, i have everything else to do. anyways, you can expect alot of questions... so be prepared

Ah good, another Texas boy.

I'd imagine that the first round of questions is going to involve rust repair and the miracles of POR-15.

right now i have the motor completely apart, and its going to the machine shop sometime this week or the next. im planning more of a restomod, but the first priority it to get it running, rust free, and driveable, so i can drop the payments on my explorer (college kid=limited funds, you have heard it all before). and i cant help modifying my vehicles, and its hard to do when the aftermarket for explorers basically doesnt exist and i dont have money left to modify the explorer because i am still buying it.
here is a pic of the 289, after it was sitting in a field with no hood. it wouldnt have been a problem if just wouldnt have rained for those 2 years.

Welcome to the forum, you will find many answers here. How is the undercarriage of the car? Looks like a fun project, good luck with it.

A friend of mine's 65 started off looking something like that. I'll have to post a pic when I get home (one of the few I have of it-he's usually flyin' around in it-built 351w, it REALLY hauls!). I wish I had a before pic.

Good luck on your project!
