Shew, not been the best week of my life thats for sure. But anyways, I noticed some oil on my 160 amp alt a day or so ago. So I figured the oil was comming from the blower. So I look at the bottom of the blower and see the oil on the smog pump. I wiped it off and I noticed it was dripping fairly quick. So yesterday the blower came off and I tightened the clamp on the hose that hooks to the oil return as tight as I could. Wiped the smog pump off and closed the hood. Today after I got home, opened the hood, and guess whats on the smog pump again. So, yesterday it felt like the oil was comming from below the oil return, but I figured where it sits at an angle it was running down to the bottom of the blower then dripping onto the smog pump. Now im not so sure, so I guess im going to take the blower back off and check yet again. Do these things usually have problems with leaking? All the reviews I read about Vortechs was that they are bulletproof. If a chance in hell that one would be leaking, of course it would be mine that does it.
Throw out some ideas, hopefully I wont have to put that 3 year warranty into use. If all things come to the worst would I just send the blower to Vortech? How long does it usually take for repairs? Thanks guys.
