it should take about 30 minutes. what you might want to buy before you start the install is some black silicone gasket maker, and a bottle of lock-tite, the non permanent one. both are available at any good auto parts store or home depot type store. also, read the directions a few times to get a feel for what the steps are, and go slowly. be diligent and careful and you'll be just fine

The included instructions are VERY detailed. The hardest part on my install was pulling the shifter out of the transmission; with some muscle it will eventually come out. Other than that, it is a straight forward job. The only other "hard" thing to do is maybe setting the stop bolts.

Instesd of using the silicone sealant, I cut out a gasket from a sheet of high-temp silicone rubber gasket material. It is easier to work with (no mess) and it reduced vibration and noise in the cockpit once installed. It is rated at -60 to +600 degrees F and comes in 12x12 sheets for $8.26. You can buy it on line at www.mcmaster.com under PN 8979K11. Have fun, it shifts great once you get your stops set

Make sure you save all your stock parts...never hurts to have it in case you need some warranty service performed and have dealers in your area that are not mod friendly.

Hmm.. I ordered mine from partshopper back in Oct. I think it took about 3 days (on the third day) to get to my door. Took me less than an hour to install. It's very easy

1. Unscrew shift knob
2. take out the piece thing (the thing and the shift booth stuck on it)
3. remove the 4 little bolt
4. remove the 4 bigger bolt (take the black plastic thing at the bottom of the old shifter and put it on the tri-ax)
5. clean off the old sealant on the edge
6. apply new sealant
7. put new shifter in and bolt it back down
8. use a credit card to set the stop points for all gears
9. bolt everything back up
10. take it for a ride and say.. HOLY ****! SWEETNESS!
11. until you drop

The tri-ax was my first mod and I barely know anything about cars.. you should be fine.. just follow the instructions carefully
