Just ordered new heads..

I'm leaking oil at the valve cover gaskets so I decided to replace the heads. I'm getting the above heads teamed up with the tubular gt40 for the time being. Any recommendation on the cam? Keep in mind I have the vortech going on too.

anderson b-31 is probably the best off the shelf blower cam out there, otherwise go custom.

Are you sure maybe the valve cover gasket wasnt bad?

I just dont understand why you would need new heads b.c of that.

Good choice on the heads though.

Lol.. That is how I justify the purchase of heads to the better half.. Is the anderson cam emissions legal?

nope. lol if your going down the road of heavily modding foxes you better throw that emissions nonsense out the window. Find someone who you can pay for a sticker its not hard.

I would be less concerned about emmisions legality if my town didn't do random inspection checkpoints. It's pretty impressive. They bring out a DMV truck with the emissions machine in it, block the road down to 1 lane in front of the police station, and flag cars into the parking lot. If you have a cammed up muscle car, you will be flagged in. Then they look under the car with mirrors, and put the sniffer in the tailpipe. If you look like you have a hooptie, they will jack up the front end and check the suspension for loose ball joints, etc.. If you do not pass, they will scrape your sticker and ticket you. Welcome to New Jersey. This is the reason I have a catted x.

man that must suck. here in oklahoma we have nothing. we can do whatever. my car has horrible emissions and i am sure it polluting the air. makes it alot easier.
i could run around with open headers and be fine, would probably get pulled over. but i have ran open pipe before around town while taking exhaust parts around to where i can weld them up and put them back on. while they are off i run open pipe and it sucks

man if i did that i would have the state police plus patrolmen from 3 towns over on me before i made it to the end of my road.

Once again, FL is the place to be. We have no emissions, Beaches with hot chicks in thongs, Orlando w/ lots of tourists.....wait thats not good, CRAP!!! Did i mention we have hot chicks....sweetness.
