Guys, I finally went ahead and ordered my 31x19 Griffin Aluminum radiator. I know UPR makes a support for them that looks pretty nice. Does anyone make one? Also, which size should I get? The Large or Small? Also, what does there Satin finish look like? Is it dull or does it have some luster to it? Would the polished look better with the radiator? Thanks

Had to buy a TB&EGR gasket set too. Not bad for $201 shipped to my door, I already bought a new cap, Tstat, Tstat housing gasket, and waterpump. So hopefully this will fix the cooling problem.:nice:

I designed the Radiator Cover for UPR. Although I don't get anything for it! :bang:
Anyway, I would hate for you to buy it from them because I don't like the Owner and I know how much they cost and where they were made. But!!!

I did design it so it is a good peice. If you do order it you will need the "Large" one. It will fit but it is very tight. You might have to move some wires around that are run to your headlights that run in front of your radiator. Also you will have to trim the lower rubber bushings that the radiator sit on with a razor blade to bring it down a little.
As far as the satin one or the polished one. Get the polished one. The satin one is just Bare Stainless. No Brushed finish. It doesn't look good. The Polished ones are made from alreday polished sheets of Stainless. The come with a white protective film to keep it from scratching, that just peels off.

Oh also you will have to strech the hoses a little or use some WD-40 to get them to slide on to the radiator. I think someone else posted a different hose that you can use instead of doing this but I can't remember the thread.
If you have any other questions just PM me.

Thanks guys. The UPR pieces are kinda pricey $60 for the polished one, but im going to order their Power Pipe. So I guess I will pick both of em up on Monday or Tuesday. Is there any other options and still look good? Oh, btw will the stock hold downs work until I get the UPR piece? I cant wait to get this thing back on the road.:nice:

Here ya go :nice: ...here is some options...and install help...

Modifications for Griffin:

- Hammer in raised metal around small hole on radiator support on drivers side.

- Bend out lower supports a little. The rubber was no problem to leave in.

- Turn lower hose around. The end that is on the pump is a little larger. You may have to cut it a little shorter.

- Bend AC lines out a little. I have a zip tie holding the AC lines out a little and I added a rubber pad between the lines and the radiator.

- I replaced the upper hold downs with a one piece hold down or bend the stockers and trim the rubber.

- Drill holes for fan shroud. I used #6 stainless nuts bolts and washers

- The hose connections at the water pump (with the hose turned around) and the upper radiator are a bit tight but with WD-40 and wriggling will get them on. Iw was time to change the hoses any way so I got new Goodyear hoses.

Seems like a lot of work...but I have seen were somepeople just said it fit real tight but they didn't have to "work" it in there...tell me how it cools...I'm putting mine in real soon...well you know what I'm putting in along with it :D

Hey...you got any times for your car yet?

Nope, no track times and its f'n killing me. The car has been running way to hot to even drive more than 5 minutes, more less go race it. I cant wait to go get some times, im sure they will suck but its all in fun. Keep getting better at it, I cant wait. Probably run high 14's.:( Oh well, it will be fun no matter what it runs.:nice:
