well guys i just ordered some new parts from American Muscle today and I think I will be really pleased with them. I ordered the SCT SF3 PowerFlash Tuner and 4:10 Gear kit and the Motive Bearing Kit. And it even came with one free custom tune. So im hoping that i wont be disappointed with this "which i know i wont be" So now im finally gonna get to jump on the 4:10 band wagon. I just cant wait till the parts come in so i can take the gears and bearing kit to my mechanic and get him to install them for me.

Screw breaking them in! As soon as I pulled on to the road I was on the gass. I've had 3 sets of gears in my car and did the same with every set and have never had a problem.

Generally for gears you want to give them 1-2 heating cycles.

After install, drive them for a few miles, varying speed but not pounding on them. Let the car sit so the gears, differental, and all bearings cool 100% and then pound the poop out of it (if you want to, it's not required, lol) unless you want to repeat that process once again.

I was told that by a 30 year+ ASE tech that did my gears.
