Hello,
I'm new to the forum, and new to mustangs. Just picked up a 90 GT convertible. Main reason I was interested is that the body is in pretty good shape. It needs a new top and the front clip painted. The car was originally silver and it was repainted blue (a 2002 ford color, supposedly) along with a custom hood, and rear spoiler. At the guys house it started up took it for a test ride ran great, came back made the deal and drove it home. It stalled just before getting it in the garage I haven't been able to start it since.
The car looks like someone started a project and gave up half way through. The guy said he didn't know much about the drive train all he did was the body and paint.
When I turn the key to run, the fuel pump comes on but never shuts back off. There is a hissing sound coming from what seems like the fuel rail. When i try to start it, it seems like its going to start but just doesn't. I can't seem to find this schrader valve people keep telling me to check. Any advice on how to get the top to go down would be great. Pump seems to be hooked up but when i press the button all I hear is the relays click. Also how hard is the top to install? Is it a nightmare or is it doable? Hopefully my fixer upper isn't too bad.
Thanks in advance for the help
