whats up everyone i havent been on the boards latley, been hangin out in a vw fourm. i got a 73 super beetle (60hp of fury baby, yeah!!!) for a collage ride so ive been working on it pretty much. but im going to wyotech in april and im takin auto technology and high performace engines, so the 94 GT is gonna be parked awhile(didnt want to put the miles on it driving back and fourth between VA and PA). but i was just stopping by the boards and felt like sayin whats up. oh and one more good thing, i found a front end for 90 GT and its even black!!! so after collage its going back on the road and im gonna put all the 25k worth of learing i got to use so that will be cool. but again just wanted to say hey

The VW is nice to have for School, they get great Gas Mileage, are good in the Snow, and are really easy to work on if you need too. I prefer a Standard Bug to a Super Beetle as you have Front Struts instead of normal shocks.

yea i like standard beetles to but the super was to good of a deal to pass up, no rot in floorboards or body and has a new motor and tires for $1500. only thing it needs is a paint job, only because i dont like yellow, and some normal maintence(brakes, shocks, etc.) also its pretty cool little car and like you said verrrrryyyyyy easy to work on.

I have a 73 that I have been messing with since about 1988, I chopped the Top and did Suicide Doors, its still completely disassembled. Maybe 1 day I will put it together and then again I might sell it off, never know.
