I wanted to go with bassani again but it wasnt in my budget this time. I just got the bullets installed and holy $hit are they ever loud. Idle is awesome and WOT is unheard of.Here are some of the setups Ive had in the past 7 years with an off road H pipe listing them from best to last.

1) Bassani quiet thunder (Very unique sound and just loud enough) The best by far.
2) Borla X-R1 Similar to the Dynomax bullets but not as loud)
3)Dynomax race bullets (loud loud loud)
4)Mac flowpath (Great rumble and pretty damn loud)
5)Flowmaster 2ch's w/o delta flow
6)Dynomax ultra flow ( Too quiet and crappy sound)
7)Edelbrock ( Quiet and sounds awful)
8)Maganflow ( Sounds deep but not too loud. Maganapacks are louder)
9)Flowmaster 1 chamber ( Almost as loud as my bullets but sounded out of tone, In other words they were just loud)

I dont want to offend anybody that has these setups but thats just my personal prefference, no flames intended. If Bassani is ever in my budget I will buy the sportsman in a heartbeat but for now my bullets are good enough for my ears.

I bought them from a local shop for $40 each + installation. Hey Mike I was also thinking of going with dumps but I wanted to see how it would sound with tailpipes first. Did you also experience how it sounded with tailpipes or did you just get turndowns right away? I dont know if my neighbors can handle dumps.

I have no trouble from the cops. They are loud. They are not for the faint of heart. They are alot louder than any muffler. But they sound unreal at WOT. I love mine and I will never WASTE my money on any other muffler. They all suck compared to BULLETS.

Compare the loudness you describe with some of the comman mufflers out there..and are they street legal? I was inquiring about a set but was told they are for race applications only. What size round are you using? Cost?

I've got a Magnaflow catback following an off-road H-pipe and BBK shorties on mine. I've gotta say, I love the Magnaflows. I knew those were what I wanted after seeing/hearing this vid:

It's Quicktime format which sucks, but OMG, the way that Stang sounds just gives me chills and makes my nipples hard.

The 2.5 inch are $32 at summit and jegs. I have 2.5 dumped. I drive my car on the street everyday. No problems.

Cool. But guess what......this is a BULLET thread. Nobody wants to hear that MAGNACRAP. We were talking about bullets. So go fly a kite.

I just took mine off and put MAC 3 inch pro dumps on. I love the sound of the pro dumps while driving but I already miss the dynomax idle. I might have to put them suckers back on, lol.
