Just to answer the questions people have asked me in the "Ok, so the rack&pinions suck... What are we gonna do about it?" thread.

I think it´s a good idea to discuss the topic DarkBuddha started there as a lot of things can be done without going the r&p route. BTW, thanks for the comment there DarkBuddha!

I knew t was your design (i've seen it before, but only at a glance.) I wish I had access to that kind of gear! Ive you get it going and it road tests well, then I will DEFINITELY take one off your hands for a '68.

the letter "å" can only be found on Swedish and Finnish keyboards, but you can press down the "Alt" key and type "0229" on the numeric keys and then when you release the "Alt" key you will have the "å" which is one of the three "extra" letters we have in the Swedish alphabet.

do you think there is a good chance that this rack will perform well and that you will produce it for sale? If there is I may wait it out

If it performs well I will definitely consider a production. I have even made initial preparations to have a production in the US.

I also forgot to mention earlier that I also milled some of the surfaces on the centerlink when I made it.
