Sorry to see a fellow BAB stang get hurt like that, but glad no one got injured. Damn automatics. If it happened with a manual, a quick jab of the clutch is all it would have taken to put it in neutral. The airbags not going off may save it from being totaled IMO, but hopefully you've learned to put on your seatbelt from now on. Let us know how it turns out with the insurance - you can always buy it back from them and fix it up right.

LOL and the best selling sports car in history does?

Give it up, fast = fast. It would beat you, out handle you, out brake you, and leave you giggling like a school girl if you would get past your "Mustangs are 1337" standpoint on life.

Face it, our Mustangs arent Gods gift. If you dont like it, and it's not a V8, that doesnt automatically make it rice. Its JAPANESE.

Calling ever Japanese car is like calling every nitrous kit NAWWWWSZZZ. It just doesnt make sense.

-on topic: Sorry about your car, but at least your son wasnt in the car with you

AND WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!

And the total is...

The repair estimate came in at $6400. The insurance company is going to fix it!

Couple of things:
1. The damage didn't look that bad in your photos, hence the company deciding to fix it. Now, if the roof bent, that's a different story. If you had caught that tree head on, your car probably would've been totalled.
2. The airbag sensor is built into the bumper and won't always trigger. You basically caught more fender than anything else in the pics.
3. Time for a suspension upgrade. Upgrading the rear will help with fishtailing, should it ever happen again.
4. ALWAYS wear your seatbelt....lucky you didn't go through the window at impact and impale a tree.
5. The tree always wins, no matter how thin the trunk looks

The sound it makes.

Everyone's got a different definition of rice. The definition has changed, due to the "import scene" carrying over to a lot of domestic built cars (and European). Really, the word should have changed. Rice (cars) are rice because they come from Japan, (or any of the Asian automakers, really). I think there's a difference between "rice" and "ricey".

Rice isn't rice because it makes "a lot of noise and goes nowhere." Rice is rice because it's ugly. Audibly ugly, visually ugly, ugly because it has a small little girly engine with a small little girly block and small little girly cylinders....... what? Who cares if it's fast? You can respect them, if you want, but it's still rice.
