k, maybe some of you can help me figure this out..........

k, little background. First it is not a stang but a ranger but we all bleed blue right????? Well it is a carbed 302 bored .040 over, '69 stang heads, mild port and polish (more of a simple polish and a 3 angle valve job), .498 lift @ .050 218 adv duration , Weiand X-Cellerater intake, edelbrock 600, custom h-pipe with cheapy turbos, Complete MSD ignition set to 12 initial because of the N2o setup (never hit the button yet though), etc..

K, here is the deal, when you cruise and it hit about 2500-4000 rom it has a constant stutter....... like it is missing really bad, it goes away if it is floored or if you ease off it and go to just off idle. I have tried everything I can think of, and basically I am at a loose. so any ideas?

1. I was thinking vaccuum leak so i sprayed it with brake clean and couldn't find one, I am going to get a vaccuum gauge on it and see what I can tell

2. Timing........ not sure about that, the only thing I could think of is the total timing being being to little so I may pull the MSD and see what I can do to step it up

3. Fuel delivery problem......... kinda doubt it since it stops if I go to WOT....

EDIT: I just thought of something........ I am running a pcv valve with a breather........ this could be a major vaccum leak couldn't it?

Hmmmm, you know I honestly don't know how well it is grounded, Thanks that is one more thing to check that I really hadn't thought about.

MSD distributer with mechanical advance.... timing is set at 10 degrees right now, has been anywhere from 6* to 22* trying to fix this and it is always present............

Hmmmm, you guys really have me wondering if it isn't ignition related now... hmm I may have to stick the points distributer back on it now.....

As far as the dyno tune, it is in the future....... unfortunatly the only place I trust around here is an hour and a half away and it won't make ti that far yet..... but yeah it needs it.

Killer50 if you haven't already order the sneaky pete don't it isn't worth it go ahead and get a real kit (trust me the bottle is hooked up behind the seat and as soon aaas I can get it tuned ).
