I ordered a new K & N Aircharger kit, lookes like a great mod. I received it today and began installing it tonight on my '06 GT 'vert. I will say, it is a nice kit, everything looks like quality and fit as it should. I got ready to put the last piece on, a rubber sleeve connecting the air tube to the filter and it wasn't there. I will call K & N first thing in the morning and raise hel* with them. My car is sitting there un-driveable. So much for quality control. I hope they can rush it to me quick. The only thing I didn't like about the kit, besides the missing part, was the instructions. The instructions could have been clearer, the pictures were dark and some details were too dark to really show how parts fit together. Thanks for listening to my rant-hopefully I will be back on the road trying out my 15 new horses.

K&n

Well, I did get the missing part as they promised. Finished the install tonight, no problems. Car has crisper throttle response and , yes, a little more power. Everythings cool.

Did you have to do a tune?

K&N claims no tune is necessary although I"m sure it wouldn't hurt, I'm sure you'd get even more with a tune.

How big is the tube where it goes through the shield. I have been thinking about this kit, but this area looks very small and restrictive to me.

About 3.5 inches. I guess it's big enough-they offer a written guarantee of 15 HP.

How does that 3.5 inches compare to stock?
