Gen 3 Coyote Swap Variable Displacement AC Compressor Troubleshooting

Hey guys,

I've started to stockpile some parts for a 2019 Mustang GT Coyote swap into my 87' Hatchback LX. I decided to go with the Mars Auto Performance Gen 3/MT82 package since they make them turnkey on the pallet and modify the stock harness to stand alone.

One thing that has given me some trouble is the AC compressor on this Coyote. After some research, I learned that it is one of those variable displacement compressors with both the clutch switch and the displacement valve control.

Say I were to get a kit like LMR's SVE Fox Body Mustang Coyote Swap A/C Kit | (82-93) that includes a fixed displacement compressor, would I encounter any issues since this connector would just hang?? I'd assume that the clutch switch would still do its thing and the displacement control valve is completely independent but I wanted to get some more info before I spend a nut and a half on this extremely attractive LMR kit, not to mention the alternative route of using the 2019 GT compressor and having to source fittings and hoses.

Any help/opinion is appreciated.

Ryder

They specialize in coyote swaps, they have all kinds of swap parts.
You do know that you will need to run some kind of power steering pump, unless you switch to a manual rack and manual brakes. The coyote is so wide you need to switch to a hydroboost system from an 96 and later SN 95 unless you want manual brakes
Yep, already got my brakes and power steering dialed in. Really just stumped on this AC. I don’t want to wire or tune if I can help it. The 2019 AC hoses have blocks on the end that mount up direct to the compressor. Ill get those from Ford and cut them up so I can make my own that uses the Foxbody’s AC components.
