Anyway as I previously mentioned the K&N aircharger was designed to run on the stock tune, so a re-tune isn't required although if your looking for even better performance and throttle response ?? a reflash sure wouldn't hurt lol.Make sure that the K&N's clamps and the MAF sensor are fully tightened, the vacuum line just before the throttle body is reattached, and the MAF sensor did not lose its O-ring.divad82 said:2006 GT Mustang
I just installed a K&N aircharger and it seems as if I lost some throttle response. The rest of my car is stock. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? Thanks!

Actually, the K&N CAI gained only 8 rwhp. The other 10 rwhp was gained by a 91 octane tune(2nd paragraph, 2nd page).Redfire 05 said:5.0 mustang and ford magazine did a cold air kit comparison a while back, one of the tested Kits was the K&N. They tried it with and without a tune. Gained 18 hp without a tune.
