KB 9psi questions

I have ordered the KB 9psi kit but I have some questions about KB's 'optional' mods.

KB Recommends the following:

- Boost-a-spark
- 90mm Mass air meter
- new TB, either 70mm or 75mm
- cool air kit or 'big tube' kit

My current mods are a K&N CAI, Borla Catback (and a SLP X-pipe, not installed yet).

What should I do? Drop my current CAI and go with the KB kit? Do I need to upgrade my TB & MAF?

This car is my daily driver and it probably won't see any track time at all. So I would be content with a safe tune and about 350 HP.

I would go ahead and get the big tube kit and the 90mm maf. Your probaly gonna be in the 400 rwhp and 400 rwtq range. A good chance you could get to 420-430 depending on the tune. I would just tune it safe and stay at the 400 rwhp range.

yea, I would go with the bigger maf just because 350 is never enough and around the 400 mark your stock meter is going to say uncle hence your engine saying uncle when it looses control of the airflow. I am running the 70mmt-body and have no problems getting over 400 with a very conservative tune thanks to DTP in VA. If you can go to a KB dealer to get it tuned then that would be a good idea also, KB does do an excellent job on the chips but I have access to 93 and they tune for 91.

If you are happy with 350 don't worry about the upgrades. If you want to get upwards of 400 get all the upgrades except the Boost-a-spark. I was told it wasn't needed under 14 psi
