Hey guys just FYI don't deal with this Keith Dandonoli. He ripped me off. He seems like a decent guy but took my money and won't return calls or emails for last 2 months.

More info needed or else it's just sh*t talk. Did this happen via Stangnet classifieds? Did you report this to the mods? How much $$?

When sending money, do it through PayPal. They have payment protection for instances like this so long as you send a payment in regards to "goods and services" or something like that.

Post specifics of what happened if you want help. Otherwise it is hearsay and will be treated as such. Do not post his phone, email or other PI. Just the facts as you know them to be.

If the story pans out to be true, it takes 30 seconds to usually skip trace someone.

I put a post a while back looking for some parts for my fox. He responded and we talked a bunched. The first time I bought parts from him he did send me them. Then was looking for some inner fenders and asked him if he had any he said yes and told me to send him money and he would ship them out ASAP. That was beginning of April. He kept saying he would send them soon and as of the last month he quit answering his phone. Won't respond back to emails, I sent him messages on Facebook. I did it has pay as a friend on PayPal so they won't do anything to get my money back.

It's my fault for not sending the money the correct way. But this guy does sell a lot of parts supposedly, he sent me a business card for him specializing in used foxbody parts the first time. So there may be a chance someone else will deal with him on the forum so just FYI be careful.
It was only 55 bucks so it's not major but still sucks anytime get ripped of no matter how much it is.

Because you legally and contractually stated it was a gift not a purchase. Case closed.

Doesn't matter at this point if your story is true. Consider it a cheap learning lesson to never gift money on Paypal. You didn't save anything and it was a clear sign of a scam as you are talking about $1.80 difference to the seller.

Never do money as paying a friend unless it REALLY is your friend and not an internet friend. Most people will just add a couple extra dollars the seller will have to pay in fee's when choosing to pay somebody as a business transaction. It's only a couple buck and worth it if things go wrong because YOU will be protected.

That sucks you got burnt. I wouldn't give up, keep calling him and posting on his FB page if you can. I have purchased a couple items from other Stangnet users so thank you for providing more info and I will certainly not do business with him.

He admitted the fault, I think the moral of the story was to give warning of possible shady dealings.

Says the BUYER. Not saying he is not telling the truth but unless you have the admitting it on tape or in writing saying to use paypal as a gift, he has no recourse.

I would have a friend contact the seller as a new prospective buyer and see if you can get him to instruct him in writing to send the money as a gift. Then you might have something.

True. But I've seen enough weird sh*t on Corral over the years, and especially lately, that I look reaaaalllly closely at who I'm buying from. Fortunately, there is a big fox community in Houston and I don't have to mess with Corral as much anymore.

I've bought a few things of corral with no problems(yet) and ALWAYS use PayPal(the proper way). If the op got burnt and it only cost 50$ that's one of the cheaper "lessons" you can be taught(still sucks). I've had waaaay more expensive ones than that lol. Also I will be extra cautious when dealing with said "hustler?"

Yep. I must have bought and sold 100 times on the Corral over the years. Only was burned once years ago by some POS salvage yard- Daves Mustang Parts, that sold me a broken Performer manifold, before paypal was around.

I see more scammers on Corral, CL and now FB than ever before. Love the idiots that want to send me personal checks or "money orders". Uh no, I know you can cancel them the day you write the check, or half the checks are bogus. I'm at the point where if it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. If the seller doesn't want to use paypal, nice knowing you.

These are mustang parts- they are a dime a dozen and I'll wait a week for another one of whatever the hell you are selling to pop up.

I actually have text message from him telling me to send it as a gift. But I still think I'm screwed. Mainly I just want to for warn others. I'm usually pretty smart with buying but sometimes let my guard down then get burned

So what have we learned? Don't buy from Kdando87 and.......

There are two ways to buy something:
Send money to a friend as a gift via paypal to bendoverhereitcomesagain@ xmail.com
or
Send money via paypal for goods/services with fraud protection to imnotasstupidasyouthinkiam@ xmail.com, you can always negotiate the fee's the seller will incur but at least you're protected.
