thinking about trading my 03 for an 06 gt vista blue, not sure, i love my 03 and i only have 2 yrs left, which i could payoff and keep, then get a deal on a used 06 or 07 gt after the dealerships quit ripping people off, ive bought an 01 gt and an 03 at or below invoice, ill just be damned if i have to pay sticker

the new style is sweet but I would keep yours for at least a few more years and then decide but thats just what I would do

I'm in the same boat. I have a 01 GT, 5 spd with only 27K miles that is in showroom condition.

I've test driven 05 GTs and they are so superior in every way to my 01, that it's not even a contest.

However, 06 GTs with manual tannies are extremely hard to come by where I live. The dealers are still trying to get $5K markups on manual tannie GTs. So I'll wait until someone will sell me one on X plan, which probably means an 07.

If you are doing pretty good financially I would suggest you keep your 03 for a bit longer.

That way you might be in the position to potentially buy a 2008 GT500 when the hype dies down. Or wait until 09 or whenever a new special edition comes out and get that.

If you do that then us 05+ GT owners might be jealous of you

No brainer--- 06 hands down. But if you want certain options, be prepared to pay sticker. Otherwise it's a long and hard road to get what you want at less than sticker.

Dang, around here I had no problem getting mine at Invoice. I know of 2 lots around here that will give a good deal on Mustangs. I couldn't find one that had the exact options I wanted so I ordered mine and waited 2 months for it, and I still got the price I wanted. Between the 2 closest lots here, there are about 6 GT's in stock.

I know in some regions, manual GT's are in higher demand than in others; but I'd drive a few hours to save a couple thousand bucks anyday.

Hard choice....

I have to tell you that sometimes I miss my 03 GT. It was easier to modify and cheaper. I liked the looks alot. However I have loved both of my new GT's. If you can wait, pay off the 03. Keep it for your daily driver and make the new GT your garage kept beauty. That way you can enjoy both! Just my two cents.
