Kenne Bell Install question

I just picked up my 1.7 intercooled kit today. KB had it ready and shipped to Hawaii in less then 1 week. After looking through the install guide I have a question (one for now). O.K... the instructions say to use the DensoIridium plugs but I've read numerous posts about using the NGK -1 colder. I just bought the NGK's because while researching the kit before purchase I read numerous posts that the Iridiums were giving problems. Which one should I use? If I use the NGK's what gap setting should I use? (oh, that's two questions). Anyway, thanks for the help...

use the ngk's kennebell now recomends them...just shoot kennebell a e-mail they will tell u the gap they get back to you fast......... you are going to love it

"A" in the photo below is the spark plug gap, and it must be measured when installing new plugs.

I just found an old post where apparently Jim Bell told someone to set the gap to 0.25. Now I am really confussed.

depends on the amount of boost. Start at 35 and work from there. In high boosy applications a tighter gap will prevent spark blow out. I think they stopped universally recommending Densos but you should have no problem with them.

What about the Kenne Bell Boost-A-Spark at .035? I'll probably use it when I go higher boost and nitrous.

Are you going to use the KB tune or have someone tune it?

I'm going to try the Kennebell tune. I gave him my other mods and he had to burn a special program. Some waivers for O2 sensors and stuff. I started the install today and hope to be done by Friday afternoon. What area of Hawaii do you live San-Man?
