Kenne Bell Supporting Mods for 2002 GT?

Hi Folks. I just finished installing a 2.1 Kenne Bell blower on my 2002 GT this past weekend. I have the Kenne Bell big tube kit with 90mm Lightning MAF, and I have the Kenne Bell switch chip installed on my factory ECM. The drivetrain is otherwise very stock, right down to the original factory clutch at 75k miles. A couple people told me that I need to add frame connectors and torque box stiffeners ASAP or I'm going to twist up the car. Is there a general consensus on whether this stuff is actually required? I honestly won't be pushing the car that hard other than an occasional spirited run through the gears, and I'll never be racing or doing any hard launches to speak of. Most of the time the car is a parking lot princess at cars and coffee nights. Rear tires are Michelin PS2's in 295/35-18. Any thoughts good or bad?

I consider the subframe connectors a requirement for even a bone-stock SN95.

Congrats on the KB!

My favorite street supercharger on planet Earth. :nice:

Oh really, even on a bone stocker eh? I guess I wasn't aware that it was that big of an issue. Any recommendation on brands and/or kits?

The KB is pretty cool. I needed it like a hole in the head lol, but the winters are long and I needed something to do. In my particular case, it's probably more engine bay jewelry than anything, but the car has a noticeable power increase, even at 2500 RPM (I haven't pushed it very hard yet).

Show me a car enthusiast and I'll show you a guy that can live on 1200 calories a day lol.
