Arent they pretty similar in price and performance?

I prefer the KB, but thats just because they dont have the whipple for the 2V for me to buy.

Lysholm used to supply the rotors to Whipple up till last winter when whipple started making them in house instead. There really is no difference in the blowers. They are both nice units. The 2.3 whipples then to make just a tad more power then the KB 2.2 at the same boost level. Maybe its the extra .1 of a liter, who knows. I do know that KB's scream like a cat getting raped where as the whipples are a bit quieter.

haa that made me laugh out loud literally.
My 1.7 kenne bell isnt loud at all, it whistles and stuff but doesnt really whine, once in a while if i really jab the throttle very suddenly, i can hear a faint whine then it gets quite. Maybe it'll get louder when i get another pulley on there.

the 2.4 isn't that load either. It's the 2.2 thats the screamer. You have to spin it at atleast 17# to get it that loud though. Kinda of reminds of an ex- girlfriend.

Kbs seem to be having alot of sealing issues on the 4V cobras....and KB's customer service is virtually non existant. I would go whipple now days.
I havnt heard of any whipples screwing up, or leaking oil either

the only problem I had with mine was, the drain plug on the bottom of the front cover worked its way loose, cause blower oil to run all over the motor. That smelled lovely..... It was an easy fix though.
