I was thinking of deleting my A/C and P/S and converting to a manual rack. What would be the best way to reroute my belt since there will no long be the bracket there. I could either use the smog or not. I have the smog delete pulley so it does not matter much. Here is how I have it routed now.

What's up Andrew. I don't think you can spin our pumps the other way. I may be wrong, but I can almost hear Grady rapping that in my head. The only chance you have of running it like in the above pic is by doing the same thing ... getting an electric pump.

Are you sure your belt setup is like that pic you posted? I know I've seen yours in person, but I can't remember. All KB setup's I can recall seeing have the KB tensioner pulley to the left, just below the blower pulley. You could run the belt straight from the alternator .... over to the blower pulley .... straight to the crank. I just assumed this because I don't have pics to look at right now, but I do know that the snout sits over really close to the PS pump. The only problem I can see by doing that is that you won't have the "grip" that the blower tensioner provides. You will probably experience belt slippage that way. If you could some how get an idler pulley mounted in the area where your PS pump is, you could retain the blower tensioner and everything should work very well that way.

BTW, did you ever get that Fox you were lookin' at?

not sure if its the WP or the timing cover thats longer, maybe its both

if its not tooo much of a difference maybe you could get a custom pulley made with an offset on it so that it would still line up with your other stuff

Yes my idler sits on the other side of the KB. I tried a dual idler setup and it did not work well. I left the idler on the right side of the KB due to the way I wanted the belt wrap.mNo I did not buy the fox. It was a piece of junk. I'm sure the motor was too.
