They do sit on top of the engine. They are good but I don't know if all Ken bell's are at full boost at 2,000 or 3,000 rpm's. If it is than your going to have major traction problems if you street race. Others like Vortex and Pro-chargers build boost through out the rpm range instead of full boost at a certain rpm.

KB's are a very good blower. They are dead reliable and make great power. They are VERY fun in a street car... VERY. The power delivery is super smooth too. Do a search for don95vert on here and the corral and look at the numbers he put up in his vert... they are VERY impressive. My cousin has one on his 94GT and he made 396rwhp with 6lbs of boost, AFR heads, and an FTI cam. He has since upgraded to the GT40 style lower, and a flowzilla inlet which should have added 30-40rwhp or so. I have another friend with 1 of 6 of KB's "tuner" car the ventoso. Check it out at http://www.ventoso.com

They are beautiful polished and get a lot more stares than a centrifugal.

So you like the S-trim more? Why so?

KB Blowzilla is the s/c of my dreams!!! But they run a pretty penny, something to the tune of 4 grand. I would love to have one but I am leaning towards and s-trim but only because they dropped the price to $2500. Great blower though. full boost at 2000 rpms.

Killer - Your friend made all that power runing through the stock intake and throttle body? Wow if he put a 75mm and a big old ANderson i bet he sould gain some serious power.

Yes and yes. They match up with either the stock lower, cobra lower or gt-40 lower (same as cobra lower) So if you already have a performer then you'll need to switch back.

Just my opinion on the boost preference. The KB has plenty power and torque but I just love the way the S-Trim makes gobs of escalating boost through the rpm range. I've been driving the KB around and I like it a lot but I also like the whine of the S-Trim. The KB has a nice un noticable unique sound to it when it idles (gear whine) and screams like a mofo when boosting. I'm going to end up buying this blower and motor from him when I pull it out over the winter. It's just a hard choice for me when it comes down to it so I'll try and have the best of both worlds.

Not sure about the hood but one of the reasons why there more expensive is b/c they come w/ there own lower intake

It should fit under the stock hood. It doesnt look like it sits higher than anyother aftermarket intake out there. And if it is... Cant you run a 3/4" spacer with like an edelbrock intake and still have the stock hood?

I dont think clerance is a problem.
