other than price is there that much of a difference in these tires? i have decided to get the 305/35/18 nitto's for the rear. on the front im not really concerened with making sharp turns or any of that b.s. i just wanted to set the car up with a street duty wheel tire combo. as some of you know i got the deep dish black bullitts. they will be here on the 28th. anyway, i need to make a decision on the front tires so i can order them.
Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 265/35ZR-18
Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance 265/35ZR-18
the khumo's are about 30.00/tire cheaper than the nitto's. but they will somewhat match. or should i say ***** it and go with the cheaper tire and not worry about the match? any opinions? i want to order these tires today!

I have the kumho's on front and they fit fine and haven't lost traction on me yet EXCEPT for the rain. They absolutely suck in the rain.. other than that they are fine.. but if you are getting nitto in rear, i'd match the brands and get the nitto in front

I have Kumhos and I find them to be a great, reliable tire. I think the wet traction is fine...much better than the Sumis I was riding on before. In fact, I partially bought them based on the numerous reviews I read for wet traction. Would I buy them again? Probably....but I like to try different tires.

I've had both the Kumhos and Nittos twice now.

Kumhos are garabage comparetivly speaking. Nittos are near impossible to get in Canada... we have to ship through tires.com, but damn it are they worth it.

They last longer. The stick a lot more. They corner verywell and they look really good.

Where did you order them from and how much did you pay???

I also need to buy tires soon and those are my exact size.

front: 265/35 - 18s
rear: 295/35 - 18s

I hace michelin pilot sports right now and they are great. However, they cost like 300 to 340 a piece. That is not good for my wallet. Please help.
Any suggestions? Thanks

I dislike my 712s very much.. but that could be because the rear tires are so worn.

I had a very scary time at 55mph, in the rain, on the interstate the other day. I had to get off the exit and drive backroads.

No man. You dislike them because they suck no matter what.

712s are like rubber pucks that disintegrate and never actually hook up.

I've cut numerious 1.9 60ft in my Mustangs while stock with the Nitto 555s. ****n awesome tires.

Are the 555s dr's? if so I don't want them. I want a street tire that will prove itself in the corners as well as from a dig, but I don't want to spend too much money. I'm about to have to make a decision as well this is why I mention it.
