Did a search and couldnt find any kill stories. I'm not encouraging people to race their stangs but it's entertaining to hear about people with the same car as me and how they are fairing against other cars. So if ya got any stories/ videos post them

Nope not here. Here's a quote from fiveofanatic on the subject.

fiveofanatic said:
Official Stance: We do not condone or promote street racing, so no kills forum. Using the forums to arrange street races is no bueno. Moderators do not actively lock down street racing BS threads, but if they do lock one, the race being discussed was probably from a roll, which we all know is for pussies.

There are plenty of other forums to discuss this. Kill stories from the track are cool but street racing is not.

Dang, looks like you gusy have a hard core mod here lol. Come over to 4.6 talk and post any kill storys you have...I for one love them, as well as most others. And our mods dont give a crap.
So, we would be happy to hear some.

I thought it was a bad thing that our mods are so relaxed...but maybe it isnt.

I'll post one.

I was on my lunch hour driving down the road and this Lotus Elise zipped around me. Then he dropped back next to me and started taunting. That thing looked fast. The road was empty so I thought what the hell. It was a 3rd gear rolling start and I completely stomped it. I could hear his engine screaming but I pulled right away from him. We got to the next stop and he quickly bailed and missed my huge grin.

I couldn't believe I took a Lotus so I looked up the car. It has a 180hp 4-cylinder with a 0-60 time of 4.9 sec. Perhaps from a stop it would have been a different story but but he started it and I finished it!!

Had a guy in a red, turbo Eclipse 'vert challange me the other day. Killed him. 1st kill for my new '06 GT. Wasn't even a race.

This one time I drove through a parking lot that is a popular spot for all the high school car kids. I took it easy as I drove by them with the shifter in 1st and it dawned on me that they could probably hear the rumble of my exhaust and was wondering what was up so I put my foot to the floor and I let them all have it.

I think I may have left them a bit deaf after that. I love my long tubes and straight pipes.

That was earlier tonight btw.

If i'm not mistaken...the lotus elise has a beefed up version of the latest model toyota celica gt-s engine.

I saw a couple at the Tampa Int. Auto Show this weekend...talk about "spartan" interiors...those cars don't even pretend to be daily drivers. No carpet, no "center console," thin little seats w/ no contrasting piping or embroidery. The elise is most certainly a "driver's car" and a pretty expensive toy, at that...

I bet they're a blast to drive in the twisties, though

You can get an elise for about 50 grand over here, and it's pretty much nothing but an 190 hp engine and a place to put your butt. It's power to weight ratio is about 10% better than the Mustang GT's, so it must have been at a gearing disadvantage if you beat him by that much. Looking at the numbers for a straightaway it should be a close race with the Elise having a slight edge. In a race with a curve in the road it would kill the mustang, but only if the driver had the balls to drive it to it's capabilites, which is rare. I doubt I would have the guts to try a tenth of what that car could do. It looks great too, true exotic styling for a quarter the price. But it is by no means a commuter car. Stop and go traffic on a pot-holed highway would kill you in no time. Still want one though.

Wife calls me tonight at work to tell me how proud I would be of her. She proceeds to tell me how a Honda riced-out whatever pulls up next to her at a light and starts edging her into a race. Well she stomps on it (the woman who tells me if I get a ticket racing then I go back to driving her truck) and takes him by about 4 car lengths before the next light. With a big shiot-eating grin on her face she looks over and says "you got beat by a chick!"
I guess she likes that new CAI/tune! I love her!

Well my only Kill story is my roomate's 67 Mustang with a 302.

He actually beats me off the line for about 20 feet, but by second gear it's cya later in my '06 GT. I think he might be faster at first because he has an automatic and can get a quicker jump on me, being a crappy driver in a manual.

The fact that he has 3 gears including reverse isn't helping him out much either lol. I guess I should win since I've got 40 years of technology and about 30 horses on him.
