My '99 will spin them through first and chirp second pretty well. Never gotten third on a warm day. My '97 cobra (stock also) would spin'em pretty hard in first, second and chirp third. Funny, cuz I feel that my '99 is faster to 60 than my cobra and considering I've taken '96 and '99 cobras from a dig...

I have an old 97 Lo-Po Auto and it will light them from a roll since I did the O/R H pipe. You will not believe the difference when you do the change out. I am sorry you bought the Catback. For the same money you could buy a new plenum and a T/A and net like 15 rwhp. The Catback maybe 5hp at best. I tell you the stock muffs sound really good with a the Catless Mid Pipes. My exhaust guy tells me that the stock Mustang mufflers are Arvin/ Maremont Turbos anyway. He has open them up before. If you are after the 2.5" look pipes that is understandable but it is not good bang for your buck.

mod you car. my car stock would really only spin if you used the clutch. with exhaust and plenum now it will get all of first if I want. with gears it will proably get all of second. with gears head cams it will proably need some suspention work.

I think ford desinged the combo good stock you have the right amount of traction for the power. if you want to burn them off just rev it up and dump the clutch.

If I'm going from a roll I usually get them spinning real nice but they never squeal, I just get that racing tach needle and some sideways action. Whenever I go to chirp second it either just gets a tid bit loose in the rear of hooks like a champ. . .I guess it's the tires????

It's a stick. Sometimes it will spin good through 1st, and a little through second, but not very often.

I've got a magnaflow catback in my room and the corresponding O/R X-pipe on order. I'm also going to try out my home-made MIL emliminators. Hopefully that'll fix my "problem".

It's nice to not have to worry about traction, but just sometimes I'd like to light 'em up without having to wonder if it's going to or not.

OH NO!!! IVE FORGOTTEN HOW MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE 4.10s REALLY MAKE!!! with just 4.10s on my stock car, 2nd is totally unusable if i want to spin them bad enough. 3rd chirps every time, even with 3 week old 275s. thats just shifting fast too! ive never powershifted b/c of some of the horror stories i've heard.

If i stomp the gas from a 5mph roll, I light em up and get some nasty wheel hop. 2nd gear the car gets sideways, and chirps in 3rd and throws the rear out ever so slightly (although sometimes it suprises me and gets a lil fishy). It has always burned 1st and 2nd, even when it was bone stock.
