I just had a King cobra clutch put in last year and the stock fly wheel turned down pretty far for resurfacing. Since then my car has picked up about 80 rwhp and 100 rwtq. My problem is that now Im having some clutch slip problems on hard shifts into 3rd and 4th gears. 1st and 2nd seem fine as I cant hook them up anyhow on street tires. I was wondering if Im at the limits of the clutch or is it because the flwwheel was turned down so far.

Centerforce dual friction. I heard some horror stories on here about them but have a friend with personal exp. with them so I went ahead and bought it. Iam running basicly the same combo as you and it grabs hard everytime and I powershift with MT ET street radials. Its worth the $320 or so that it costs.

My dad has a KC on his 94 with 400rwhp and it didn't slip, I had one on my 89 but it started slipping at around 420rwhp on the dyno so I have a centreforce now. It is a lot lighter on the foot and holds the power just fine

there was a company that some one posted about that sold flywheels and clutches in sets matched up for power level and purpose. I think it was SPEC, but Im not sure. Does anyone know

I have a spec stage 2 and i think its awesome. Fairly heavy pedal, but the action is extremely precise and it grabs real hard....stage 2 is goo to about 480 ft lbs and about 420 hp i think.

are you sure your clutch is set up properly? anychance you glazed the clutch? i have a KC yes i like my CF dual friction better but i have zero slip with this clutch. I would have to be putting around the 430 hp to rear wheel on juice and i launch on the stuff at the track. even with my slicks the car launches hard. i don't seem to be getting any slip.

I finnally got under the car this weekend to check out my clutch set up. Well the guys that put the clutch in for me had the adj. cable pulled way up. I was able to back off the cable by about 3/4" and now not only does the clutch hold just fine, but the clutch pedal grabs alot closer to the floor now. I was actually able to use the FWA to dial in the pedal height some. To think I almost ordered a new clutch. It kind of makes me mad because now I wonder how much life of the clutch was used up from having it set up wrong.
