When I'm winding down (in about any gear) to a light/stop, I get a knocking sound (1 time) from the right side on the engine at about 1500 RPMs (and not winding down from anything higher than 2500 RPM)... any ideas???

almost the same with mine except it's on light acceleration between 1500-1800rpm's it doesn't do it on deceleration. If anyone know's I'm sure both of us would be appreciative
Coming from when the air in set to come out the upper defrost (windshield) setting... changed to regular air flow, stopped and didn't do it the whole commute home...
Don't follow ya mine is a actually knock from the engine no matter if the defrost or heater/ac is off if it's below 40 degrees it will make that noise till it's fully warmed up but only in that spot on the rpm band.
When I had the fan/vent on to cool the car internally, when the setting had the air coming out to the windshield, the thumping noise was occuring.... set the fan to blow to anything left of the "0" or off setting.. no noise anymore...
