knocking sound

about 3 months ago i could hear a small knocking sound in the back end of the car but only when i went over bumps. but now its happening all the time even when i start the car, it sounds like something is hitting the bottom of the car anyone had this happen.. or have any clue where i could start looking?

look at the driveshaft and see if u can see any spot where it is rubbing or might have been rubbing..check d/s bolts as well..

+1. This is what was happening to my car.

Make sure the exhaust is secured w/ the hangers, and the hangers
are in good shape.

Also look for a broken rear anti-sway bar. Pretty common problem as well.

+1 rear sway bar bolts loosen on me more often than they should
