I know that the 712's are a good tire for the money. I quit buying expensive tires a long time ago because they only last like 15K and unless your car has a ton of HP or you race it, you don't need expensive tires. IMO.

The ASXs are more of an all-season tire...They won't be quite as good as the MXs in dry conditions, but they will be a little better in adverse weather.

They are my first set of inexpensive tires .. well I had some Cooper tires on it and they were garbage so they got burned really good. But I used to only run BF Goodrich, Goodyear, Dunlop ... the best of the best. They would handle insanely good but would wear out so fast that it was just not worth the money after a while. We'll see how the ASX's work..

feel like they flex more during turns, the 712's feel stiffer and dont wander
as much in strait line driving
