I have 295/35.18 Kuhmo MX on the back w/ 400+ RWHP and they Almost grip in second gear. I love these Kuhmos! Never buy YOKOHAMA (GARBAGE) I'm upgrading to NITTO Drag Radials so hopefully i can ALMOST rip in First gear!!! YEA!!
I have 285 kumho ecsta MXs...well when I first got them (bolton GT) they hooked GREAT. Wet weather new was pretty good also.
Now after a good 30K (and still has a good 5K + in them) and cams, I cant hook for beans. Their performace is degrading pretty rapidly as they near the end of their life, both dry and wet. Wet is scary now lol and im running my dads 315 sumitimoz for now.
NOW, at the track with the kumhos.
I pulled a 1.90 60' at an AWSOME prepped track.
1.99 at a basically 0 prep track...no spin in 2nd.
The sumitimoz actully hook very well on the street, and wet is great. however I dont think they will last but about 25K.
BUT the sumitimoz SUCK at the track...I could only get a 1.99 best at the same track that I got a 1.90 before with the kumhos (BOTH on the day of the FFW event). Got alot of wheel spin in 2nd too. But I do have more power this time around...about 40 more RWHP.
