lakewood 50/50 shocks ..clunking noise..help!!

i installed my lakewood 50/50 shocks on the back.....well the bushings/sleeves that they give you dont fit snug, so the bottom mount clunks around.....the stock bushings wouldnt fit...what should i do?

Each side... There are two cupped washers. There are two bushings that are flat on one side and rised in the center on the other. Looking down the shock rod, put on one washer with the cupped end facing you onto the shock rod, then put one bushing flat side towards the washer down the rod on top of the washer. Then install the shock. From the top install the other bushing with the raised end facing the body and the flat end facing you, and install it down the rod, then install the other washer, flat side facing you on top of the bushing, then tighten down the nut. Did this help?

You put the bushing in, then I think there is a sleeve that goes in there before you put the bolt in. Didn't it come with a sleeve, I would have sworn mine did.

That sucks. Is it the factory bolt your using?

How much space do you have? My Strange shocks had some space on either side of the lower shock mount, and even though it may not have made a difference, I put a 1/8" washer on either side to make up the difference.

Strange tech said they had not heard of this -- but I don't think I'm the only one. Works fine for me this way.

well the metal sleeve that goes around the bolt is loose around the bolt....its like an 1/8th inch too big.

My Lakewood shocks came with 2 different size sleeves - one set fit perfectly.......I did have to put the washers at the ends, though.

well one set of sleeves was way too small, then the other was a little bigger, i also used the washers on the ends..i guess i could find bigger bolts, washers and nuts and drill out the holes on my rear end
