well my dad and i are just about done with all that we can do to the car ,,, we have tw last things that we need to do
1- is there is a noise in the rear like a roreing or a lopping sound starts off slow and gets faster when you drive faster ,, we check the rear end fluid, its ok maybe the tires,, i dont think so???

2- there is a cluncking sound i heard it a few times when we start to take off like in a turn real fast ( hard i guess ) in the rear it happens once or twice thats all then it ok i affraid it might be the rear end going bad like bearings?? has anyone ran across of anything like this ??

does the sound in #1 stay fast or does it change in each gear?? If it is consistent, then it is something behind the tranny....check the driveline balance, the u-joints, grease levels, wheel balance, rear wheel bearings, and the differential may need adjustment or rebuilt.

#2, do you have an open rear end or a posi-type unit??

i was told that it is a poss. traction rear end and the sound stays steady untill you start to slow down it get slower like a lopping sound and the knocking sound only happen twice now it when you like back up and put it drive and kinda kick it ( lol) thats when it happens not any other time .
so is there any testing we can do on the rear end to check the bearings i check the grease level it was ok,, i can put it on a rack and check it some way?
