Most guys will want the max capacity in their Pfab Oversize Intercooler Tank, but if you want to run your blanket, when you not at the track, like me, then Eric has a new option for you. This minor reshaping, allows you to keep using your blanket by not poking through your blanket where it transitions along the cowl hood as it rises to front of the flaps. If you are running a FIPK, especially GEN II, there is a slight change that will keep the tank from interfering with the heat shield. So if you have fender draw CAI, you wouldn't need the side corner removed, but only the alteration on the top edge. If you have a FIPK, but don't have your blanket anymore (where did I leave that?) or don't plan on using it then you would get the side corner mod, but not the top edge mod.

That's a very impressive piece of hardware. Looks very well made! Almost too pretty to hide under the hood!

I know you Uncle Zappa, you want to see that under my hood, well if you don't I DO!!!!!!! I'm going to the track tomorrow for the first runs with the money pit so tonight's the night, pictures to follow. Eric's work really is the best, but I'm not the first to discover that. I traded a few emails with him and a few guys that have his standard tank installed, talking about what would need to be done to clear the blanket and a FIPK GEN II. Sent him some pictures with some added cut lines I did with MS Paint, and it was if I programmed a robotic welder, he is a freaking robot, can you tell I'm very happy? I mailed a check to him a week ago Tuesday (Cali), he started working on it before he even got my check, sent it out UPS the same day he got my out of state check and I had it waiting on my porch when I got home from work yesterday (Thursday 9 days later). I really think he is not of this world, he might be a robot. It even has a drain petcock that I can hook up a hose to and drain it to a pail and not mess the pits, ready for the next bag of ice and pre-chilled water. Ain't that the d1ck!

Install easy, great fit

Installed in time for testing at the track tomorrow, the only problem I had was with the 13mm body clip bolt the extra tank bracket attaches with, the FIPK heat shield dog ear also uses that bolt so it is either one, but both on at once didn't want to start the threads so I just bolted the tank on and I will get the proper longer body bolt with the built in washer and replace the stock one and get the both dog ears on tomorrow. The tank now clears the FIPK heat shield nice and when I closed the hood, you can see a mark where the blanket touches the front trimmed tank, but if I didn't have the before picture, I might not have noticed it. Nice and smooth, no problems. Flashed in my testing tune and all we have to do pack the cooler and we are off to the strip tomorrow early.

Wow, as a pretty experienced welder, i really envy that piece. Some of the best welding ive seen. (Chopper boys eat your heart out)

I have a feeling the next big fad is going to be raw TIG welded aluminum... because... :hail2: ... FORGET CARBON FIBER!
