Track runs w/ auto convertibles are hard to find, so here's what I've come up with...

My "mostly" stock runs were 15.3 w/ 2.4 60ft @ 89.9. I had pullies, K&N and 14degrees.

This go around I hit 14.51 w/ 2.1 60ft @ 94.98.

Mods since the two runs were:
Longtubes & exhaust
AODE w/ 4R70W internals
2800 Edge Stall
Cobra Intake
CAI
4.10s

Old and new runs done on Sumito HRTZ's at 35lbs.

Race weight is 3,650lbs.

I've got at least another tenth or so in the car if I can nail the 60ft, still getting a good deal of spin off the launch, just gotta work it better.

My launching was done off idle - I'd give it about 2/3 gas off the last yellow light and then punch it when it quit spinning.

Looking at my AFR on my runs, I was hovering between 7.5:1 and 10:1 the entire run... gotta lean that out a bit! I made a quickie change to the tune but made it too lean and got some nice detonation so I had to back out.

All in all, had a great night, nothing broke, I expected a 14.5 and got exactly that. :D

Good video... damn little SRT.... :rotf:

I'm amazed at how little your car squats or even changes it's level at the launch. I'll never remove my front sway bar again, but you might try to loosen it up a little.

When I first put my drag launch springs in, they didn't impress me. But I think they are getting better the longer they are on the car. I put some 10-way adjustables in the rear and it seems to help some as well in weight transfer. 60fts didn't drop but a .10th though. I hope to get some 10-way adj. struts "sometime".

Do you have any suspension mods in the works?

Ha yeah. The guy that drove it (Ryan) was a great guy - we all got to hang out before the track started up and then between runs as well. His car is completely stock w/ the exception of some Kumo tires. He was getting his stock runs in before he started modding. Either the track or the weather wasn't doing him right last night tho, he was trapping around 97-98 - said his previous best was 102.

Do you loosen it at the end links or on the frame?

I had posted a couple of weeks ago about a suspension. Was looking at the Bullit pack + some MM LCAs. Mustangless chimed in and said he really liked his adjustables which got me thinking about other alternatives.

I don't want to turn it into a drag-only car since I'll only make 5-6 track visits a year and the rest of the time it's my daily driver.

My stock suspension isn't crapped out yet but it's definately getting old. I think a previous owner replaced the rear shocks but I can't find a name or anything on them. They look like parts store/stock replacements.

So I'm back to deciding on the suspension. I'd love to get away for less than $1k shipped for new stuff all around. I'm about 1/3 towards a new 347 combo that I plan to put in next fall so I don't want to eat into that $ too much. The goal is low 13s in street trim.

I know next to nothing on putting together a suspension setup! HELP!
