right now i have an 86 notchback stripped down in the garage. i wanted to convert it to standard but have been contemplating leaving it auto for consistancy at the track. it seems that you can get a better launch in a manual by holing the clutch and revving to whatever rpm then dropping or letting out the clutch. how could i do this in an auto? would i have to install a transbrake? a stall converter, 4.10s and a shift kit are a deffinite. Does a manual valve body have a drive gear or does it always have to be shifted manually? also does the car just completely not move with a stall converter untill you hit the stall speed? sorry for all the questions im just trying to weigh out my options and get some good info. thanks guys.
