How much boost do you think that a 2hp leaf blower would give me?? How much horsepower do you think?? Would it even work?? What it give me a set of the pants difference??

Gas leaf blower??? what will you do if your leaf blower runs out of gas halfway down the track?

God, imagine how a leaf blower on a mustang would sound.

it could work for a smaller engine, but you would have to have a computer with it so it would react with fuel/air

umm, dont flame me for this, but wouldnt it be the same principle as a supercharger? Forced air is forced air isnt it? Just hook the triiger up to the throttle and see what happens., I would think it would b good for a pound or two...but im probally wrong.

It more than likely wouldn't flow enough CFM to be useful and more of a choke. Therefore LOSING power.

Well, you'd want to put a low restriction air filter and an expansion chamber on the two stroke leaf blower motor so it had more power. Then, you'd want to change the fan on blower for more air movement - more boost. You'd need a separate fuel tank so you could pre-mix oil with the fuel for the two stroke. You'd want to hook up the throttles with the same cable so when you stepped on the gas in the car, the blower motor was synchronized. I'd only use McCullough or Poulan - they're the best. You can route the expansion chamber exhaust into one of the Stangs primary tubes so no one will hear the ring-a-ding-ding of the blower motor. Or, with a long enough extension cord, you could just use an electric one - WeedEater brand on sale at Lowe's or HomeDepot. Be sure you have the self retracting, non-tangling cord device mounted on the rear bumper to feed out enough extension cord.

Oh, and you wouldn't want to run either one before about, oh, 9am on Sat. or Sun. morning.

yeah, i looked at that one night out of curiousity and it doesnt flow enough cfm to do anything. look at what a leaf blower pushes and than look at what a vortech supercharger pushes. the vortech pushes about 100 times that of the leaf blower

probably pushes less than 20 in. H20 at 20CFM

I have paxton blower heads at my work that move 80In.H20 at 1000CFM...I was going to "borrow" one blower head and mount it to my car...but then I figured out that it was only 2.8PSI

If anyone thinks that crap up their is "knowledge" I've got some ocean front property in Dallas I'd like to sell you!

My daughter's 30 in Nov.....

Actually - now that I've had some fun - the old leafblower syndrome - they just don't make enough power to move enough air to do any good. The power required to drive the supercharger on an 8000HP top fuel car is about 700-900HP. Just a guess, but I'd say the average blower out there on a street car consumes 20-40HP. So you can see it's gonna take a lot more than your average leaf blower to move enough air under boost to help out. I still like the extension cord idea though....damn, I'd outrun him if he hadn't had a longer extension cord than me.....
