Hey All,
Title says it all. Does anyone know the correct torque specs for leaf spring u-bolts for generally standard setup 8" rear/68 Coupe?
TIA,
Gene

Can't say for sure, but I've always cranked them to whatever my impact gun will get them, same as my lug nuts when I rotate the tires on my daily driver. I know there's a torque spec for everything in a perfect world, but sometimes "as tight as you can get it" is just about right.

Looking in the 1964 Falcon Shop Manual, it says the 6 cylinder axle gets 13-20 foot-pounds and the V8 gets 30-45 foot-pounds.
