I have an Areomotive rail mount fuel pressure reg. on my stock 5.0 rails. It leaks slightly running down the mounting plate with an occasional drip onto the lower intake manifold. I didnt notice it the first time i put it on but a few weeks later when i had the hood up with the engine running I smelled a hint of gas. After about 10-15mins of looking i found it. So 2 different times now i have replaced the oring and seal which is 2 hours of work for a 2 dollar part. When i pulled it apart I didnt see any thing wrong with the oring or seal but i changed them again anyway. the only time it leaks is when the engine is at idle. when i rev the engine up the leak stops, reving the engine continuosly there is still no leak. when it settles back to 800 rpms it will start to leak again. The leak itself is so small that if it were any other fluid i wouldnt worry about it. Everthing fits well and the mounting plate is unbent, the only thing i endend up finding was a small crimp in the fuel return line before the gas tank. I was wondering if this could cause the problem at idle. Any thoughts would be great, I was actually thing of putting a bead of RTV BLUE around the bottom of the reg. cause i getting frickin tired of dealing with it.
