leaking oil pan... need help.

yeap. my oil pain is leaking too .. the gasket is almost all the way out...
today they quoted me about $500 to fix it. they said they would have to raise the motor a few inches or drop the K member... does this sound about right. that is a lot a freaking money to fix a leaking oil pan.
if i get someone to fix it for cheaper. would it be wise to get an aftermarket oil pan? a more efficient one? if so.. what kind, brand, type? thanks..

At your level of mods I wouldnt bother with an A/M oil pan,not worth the $$ IMO as they can get expensive.

geez, $500!! that's 'spensive. I got mine replaced for $210, purchased a one piece rubber gasket from napa to have them install.

Sounds right to me...I just paid 5 bills to get in done. Stupid double sump oil pans....

Yup you deffinitly need to either raise the motor and/or drop the K-member to do it.
