**cliff notes below**

Maybe..........I fixed my gauge problem that was throwing codes and reset the computer and took her for a ride.....after driving it for about 10-15 minutes on the freeway and surface streets....I decide to see what it's got....roll out 2nd and 3rd and shift into 4th at about 120 (**note** this was done on a closed street do not try at home**) car feels VERY nice.....pull in the garage and at idle I hear a Whistle.....I am like I am hoping its just my throttle body suckin more air but in of course Its probably not that....I pop the hood and listen and can't really tell where it's coming from...listen buy the intake both sides...listen near the throttle body..doesn't sound like it's coming from there...

Anyway I retorqued the lower and upper intake....no luck...

I do have one question that I just thought about.....is there supposed to be some sort of gasket that goes between the upper intake and the lower intake..?? it seemed like there was one built into the intake but on the NPI intake there was definately a gasket that was seperate...we tried putting it in but it just didn't look right so we figured it didn't go.....

any recommendations?? I really dont' want to have to pull this thing back off...

my main question right now is IF it is the intake leaking.(air) am I causing any major damage by driving it....I will be babying it.. For what it's worth the whistle seems to go away when I step on the gas...

**cliff notes** new PI intake....after test about three test drives...this last one being the most vicious I am hearing a whistle under the hood.....what should I do...and how bad is it driving it with the whistle.....it does seem to go away when I hit the gas.....sorta sounds like the throttle body whistle you sometimes hear but about 3 times as loud probably..

I suppose there's always a chance you left off a vacuum line somewhere but that might be wishful thinking. The intake-to-head gasket is pretty finicky. It is critical that you don't shift the intake back and forth as you set it on the gasket so you don't bend over the rubber "wiper blades". Especially since you don't have a solid face to seal against with the PI intake runner barely missing the gasket on the inside edge. Did you use any RTV?
