My t5 (installed on my 66) is leaking pretty steadily from the rear seal.
Question 1) Where can I find a new one? 2) Is there any trick to getting it in? Can it be done by a mechanically inclined person in the garage or should a transmission shop be doing it?
Pretty easy to pry off. Just be careful not to mar the aluminium housing. Pry it off. Put some ultra black on the new one and tap it in. Be sure to do a lot of small taps in a circle to get it seated strait and fully.
