Lean? white plugs

What makes a car run lean than the obvious not enough gas issue. The car has a 255 pump 40lb injectors, adjustable fuel pressure and I pulled a plug because I saw some whitesh smoke and the plugs show the engine is running lean.

Wow beats me seems like with that setup you'd be running rich. Whats the rest of your setup? Man!! 40 lbs. at 3 and a half a gallon, you're braver than me!!

could be getting unmetered air coming in which would cause that. Also could be a bad MAF sensor or oxygen sensors. With that please tell me you have a tune.
