Least favorite work to do on your stang?

Well just wondering what you fellas thought was the worst kind of wrenching to do on your cars.

For me, its exhaust work, especially headers. It's the only time I've been disheartened when working on a car.

Haven't done much work to mine yet but from what I have done the oil pan gasket was a pain. 1 piece rubber, metal reinforced!

lol yeah im glad i didn't have to do my pan myself haha...

i though my catback was going to be a walk in the park also but i was plesently surprised haha ehxaust in general is a pain...

but taking the headlights out sucks lol

I really don't care for interior work. I like wiring, soldering, and that sort of thing. I just hate removing interior panels and all that jazz.

The one thing i had to do that i really hated was replacing the rear main seal. I pretty much hate having to repair things that are broken vs. modding the car....

I hate all of it some of the time and none of it most of the time... really depends on what needs to get done and what is going on in my life at the time...

RMS was tough though... that one took some time to be ready to do it then it wasn't that bad...

Exhaust and rear brakes. Adjusting the rockers is a pain too because you have to remove all the spark plugs....Which is also a pain with large headers.

+1 for headers.. As you're doing it you're wishing you would have gotten the "Better" gaskets or the "Better" bolts! I'm dreading this because my driver side is in need of replacement, makes the car sound like an old pickup truck!

Rear LCA's were also kinda not fun, the old bolts did not want to come out of there. I'd hate to do an oil pump with the engine in the car too.

I'm amazed no one has brought up "heater core"... mine is still hanging in there. But I'm sure it's days are numbered.

I was gonna say working under the dash
but
I'd say doing that job would be the ultimate
under, in, around, and behind dash hassle

Good call Grady, under the dash. If it weren't for the seats being in the way, it probably wouldn't be a problem.

Whats wrong with doing rear brakes? I rebuilt and painted mine of friday and had no issues taking them off or re-installing them with new pads and rotors.

My rear brakes were a bear to screw back in. That sucked.

Also setting rocker lash is really time consuming

Also i hate draining my radiator, when it drains is hits the core support first and splashes all over. such a damn mess

Getting the pilot bearing out wihout the puller, only a hammer and a screwdriver +10 most blasfeming hours and painfull, just to gave up and ending purchasing the tool.

Equal Lenght Shorties was also a little painfull.

Getting the LAST tranny bolt with a 5/8 socket and trash the head of the bolt and have to call a ppl with a welder to weld a nut.

Have to wait Summit stuff +1 week, every time you need something. ( Delivery + Customs + Local Delivery )

Maybe this is just because this has been my project for the last month but i'm going to have to go with turbo install
