Both my rear license plate bulbs are out now, and both housings are broken too I know that some people have put some white leds in that spot and I thought it looked good and different, but i'm having trouble finding the thread about it. Can someone help me out and give me the low down on what I need and where to get it? thanks

The thread is gone for some reason.

Just go on Ebay and search for "LED 194" and the bulbs will pop up. it's just a simple swap

I even did my reverse lights in LED

I wouldn't do the LED tailight bulbs. They are too hard to see during the day time.

I don't like the LED in the tail lamps, but they look good over the license plate and in the reverse lamps.

They aren't bright enough. The plastic is red colored so no need to buy red LED bulbs. White bulbs would be brighter and still shine red.

Problem is, they are not as bright as normal bulbs. They look cool as hell, but you sacrifice your brake lights being as bright as they should be. Could cause problems and if you are ever rear ended, you could be found partially at fault since you have modded safety equipment.

I have been thinking of swapping the 3rd brake light over to LED bulbs. I'd leave the regular taillights alone and just do the 3rd.

I;ve modified my taillights so that the inner segments also light with the turn/brake lights. That way when i hit the brakes, i now have 6 segments lighting up vs the factory 4 segments.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but does anyone know if they sell the LED 194's and 3156's at Advance auto? I'll go by and pick some up if they do.
