Regardless, I hate professional wrestling and the fact that it's even considered a sport. I would love to see ANYBODY beat the living crap out of one the wrestlers just to show them what a real sport is.

Uh...you DO know that Lesnar was an accomplished wrestler in high school and college, right?

In fact if I recall he won a national title in college, or something along those lines.

Anyway, I hate that ridiculous tattoo he has on his chest now (ugh) and he sure is a lot smaller than he was when he was wrestling. I guess he's not on roids anymore.

Brocks wrestling back ground is very distinguished.

Hes not just some "fake WWF" guy coming in thinking what he did there can make him good in the UFC

Yeah he's from around where I live...

I still want to see him get his ass handed to him. Pro Wrestlers just annoy me in general so watching one get dominated would make my day. If he wins he's obviously the better fighter, but I just want to see him get his ass spanked.

Doubtful. He probably just dialed it back some in order to cut down on the muscle mass he's carried in the past in order to improve his conditioning. Carrying around all that extra weight (even if it is muscle) will use up a lot of oxygen and gas you in a hurry.

I'll bet Lesner mops the floor with Mir. In the shape that Mir has come in over his last several fights, I'll be surprised if he doesn't pass out from exhaustion before the end of the first round. There's a guy who needs to lose his UFC backing if I've ever seen one.

Sister in law went to High School with Brock. Other than that, I have nothing to contribute!

That's assuming Mir doesn't think Lesnar will give him a run for his money. I think Mir realizes what he's going up against and will rigorously train for it accordingly.

Good fight, short but good. Showed Mir's skill and that he can take a punch. Showed Lesners lack of skill and nothing but ground and pound approach. I think he can be good he just needs more fights and more training. It was a tall order to go against Mir your first big fight. Id like to see Mir climb back to the top.

Just streamed the Lesnar vs. Mir fight. I guess Deft did call it. It's too bad, the way Lesnar came out and floored him twice I thought we were going to see a KO. I did think Mazzagatti's call to deduct a point from Brock right off the bat was kind of harsh.....not even a warning?!? Mir playing it up afterwards like it really hurt him was kind of cheese too IMO. He didn't even aknowledge the strike till the ref called it. Mir did after all turn his head away and got caught. To be honests, had Mazzagatti not separated them at that moment, the fight could have gone a completely different direction IMO.

It was nice to see Mir come into shape for a fight for a change though, which has somewhat restored my faith in him. And he was a pretty graceful winner afterwards. I do feel the fans were unessarily harsh on Lesnar though. I guess no matter how well you do, they'll just never accept a past Wrestling "Entertainer" as a serious MMA fighter. You'd think he was Canadian the way they boo'd him?

Wow, just watched it. Brock looked like a beast, thought for sure he was going to get a KO. Just shows one wrong move and you done, no matter how much you dominated.

Me and the guys watching the fight were a little shocked at Mazzagatti's point deduction also. It seems like all the other fighters always get some warnings. One punch when Mir turned his head away seemed extremely harsh to us also.

I think Brock has a big future in MMA. Mir was a huge fight for him right out of the box and I think he did pretty good. He knew the submission was coming and tried to jump out of it but didn't make it.

I'm interested to see who he fights next. I'd like to see him fight Tim Silva. I think he could dominate Silva after he got him to the ground. Tim has good take down defense as we saw, but someone as big and strong as Brock could take him down pretty easily I think.

Found a place...

http://www.mmashare.com/

Lesnar was all brawn and no brains. He was so cocky to start, thinking he could just beat his way into a submission...the fact is, he's not as good of a hitter as he thought he was. He came in thinking one punch would do Mir in and Mir took them all like a champ and used his skills to eventually take Lesnar down. If Lesnar actually learns that muscling his way through a fight won't help him and decides to use brains (though he doesn't seem like he has any from the interviews he's been in) he might be a decent competitor.

I had a few links that had the fights from the last PPV but neither link has this PPV on it.

I didn't think he came in cocky at all. Sure, he was pumped up, but it was Mir who was the one that was so calm he looked like he'd just woke up from a nap? Yes, Brock's inexperience is apparent, but I disagree with you that he's not a great hitter. He put Mir on his ass with one punch after Mazzagatti put them back together and landed about 90% of the others he threw while Mir was on his back. If anything, I'd say for such an experience fighter with so many fights under his belt, Mir was the one who did the half assed job. He got taken down with ease within the first 5-seconds of the fight and then ate Lesnars fist shortly afterwards. Had Lesnars ground game been where he wanted it to, Mir would have been toast! I thought all things considered, Lesnar did an exceptional job!
