I am looking for some idea to improve the trunk appearance.
Could you please post a few pictures of your trunks, if you have used wood&carpet.

Sorry I don't have pics, but I dropped $200 bucks on a carpet kit from Dallas Mustang (iirc). It looks awesome and covers everything. The back of the seat, the wheel wells and the taillight panel all covered. It even comes with a spare tire cover, if the spare is ugly.

I threw in an alum. battery box (with a lot of polishing) ant it looks great.

I am torned between that carpet kit or do it myself.... decisions decisions....

I really hate to be the one to say it cause it always seems like such a rude answer but there have been 2 or 3 threads on this subject with lots and lots of pictures posted in them. Do a search.

ive seen them here before but my prob is that when ever i do a search i get stuff i dont need, or that dosnt help at all...so thats one of the reasons ("I") just ask the darn question and get it over with

Ok, I got mine at Texas Mustang Parts. The web site is www.texasmustang.com. It was $179.95 plus shipping and for you that ain't going to be cheap. It was $24.00 S&H to get it shipped to me.

It was still well worth it. Better looking than anything I could have done and I have skills . Just kidding, I liked it because it looked factory made and they used the same loop style carpet as I have in the interior.

I am just starting mine and have done the searches for pics as well. I just found some black outdoor carpet at Lowes that will work perfect. I plan to some modding, with a spare tire sub enclosure and seat back sub rack. I should have some pics this week if that is not too late for you.

I give this kit a big . I had it installed in a couple of hours and the best part is that they have a solution to all the hard to fit pieces. It also was made to be velcroed(sp) together and down to the truck, so if it needs to be removed, it can be out and back in very easily.

You also don't have to worry about securing wood in the truck or having it come loose in an accident.

Stang65, It's neat, clean and pretty, but what if you actually want to put something in your trunk? I'd be afraid of poking a hole in those speakers.

I guess my cars have never been pristine enough (or reliable enough) to warrant the perfect trunk. It’s hard to decorate around a bottle of antifreeze, oil, tranny fluid, a tool kit, and sometimes even a spare battery.

I know that problem all too well, there was a time that i had all that stuff out of there, turned out that was when i needed it, so i always keep some junk like that in my trunk, i guess i could get a little box and put all that stuff on the sides in the trunk, just make like a little doorlike in the newer mini-vans, that gives me an idea, ill have to do some work on trunk materials as soon as my 2 months of work are up.

I bought auto carpet at WallMart. Made some cardboard templates of the trunk to use as a layout for cutting the carpet. Used industrial velcro to hold the carpet in place. No stitching required. Not mustang correct, but I like the black carpet better than the stock. Sorry, do not have any pictures.
