Here in mine in past 21 months I own my Stang
First start with relese clutch bearing
Driver side window motor 3 times
Rear speakers
Driver side door lock
Problem with stock MASS
EGR
ECT
IAC
Idler pulley
Water pump
Battery died for no reason
Rear main seal and burned 2nd kKing Cobra clutcs
Bad sinchros in tranny (too many power shifts) rebuild T-% in January 04
Rear end blown two times after installing 3.73s (no more b/c Eaton and Superior 31's are inside now)
Wheel hoop (no more ,installed upper and lower control arm's) ,
stock driveshaft vibration(out off balance, no more b/c FRPP aluminum sleep now under car)
Rear wheel bearings
Broken intake valve spring keeper on stock heads
AND
BIGGEST problem is rear tires making more miles than front ones for no reason
I know its too many broken stuff but I didn't drive like granpa

  • Passenger AC vent misaligned/broke
  • Guage cluster surround trim snapped off by defroster button
  • Center console broken tab by driver knee
  • Non-working driver seat bolster
  • Carpet bunching & shifting (need to realign & glue it)
  • Airbag light on
  • Occasional 3rd gear grind on hard shifts
  • Squeaky clutch cable
  • Missing spark plug boot on cylinder # 5
  • Clunking in rear suspension, 99% sure its blown out quad due to me hammering on them
  • Extremely bald tires, can drag my nail across them w/o grabbing tread
  • STILL NOT FAST ENOUGH!!!111

Almost all of my issues are very typical for a 10yr old car that is made of cheap plastic on the inside, and that has been driven hard. I plan on fixing up the interior stuff this winter, and maybe doing some actual hp mods.

Overall its been the most reliable car I've ever owned, while at the same time being the most affordable, & fun to drive. Who says you cant have a fast, reliable, inexpensive car?

In the last 2 months...

Bad TPS/IAC (Replaced with FMS T-Body)
Siezed Cooling Fan (Replaced with new unit)
Broken Upper Rad Hose (Replaced with new one)
Cracked Water Neck (Replaced)
Leaking Radiator (Replaced with Fluidyne)
Nitto 275 DR's Baaaarely streched over my 10.5's (Waiting on 315's)
None of my sources have had a 315 in stock for 2 months (Still Waiting)
Now the bottom end's making noise (It never ends but that's the fun in it)

oil leak, car runs like chit, slipping clutch, track-lock isnt working that well, stalling for no reason, has problems starting up when its hot, valvetrain is a little noise but probably normal, really really really bad gas mileage, and I'm sure theres more that I cant think of right now but hopefully the majority of them will be solved once I get my tweecer in

: Clutch slips at 4000 RPM's

: Header gasket leak in both headers

: Exhuast is ratteling on the back on something

Thats about it for now guess Ive been lucky. I havent driven the car for the past week since I got my new truck and this weekend its being put up for the winter.

BTW: I dont consider reg wear and tear issues to be problems w/ the car, IE.... Worn Tires. Dosent matter how old or new a car is, tire wear will always be an issue after any amount of time.

1. Bad MAF- replaced with Pro-M 75mm.

2. BAD fuel leak- was a bad filler tube gasket.

3. Leaking rear main seal- problem has seemed to solve itself.

4. Blown rear passenger shock (replaced with KYB).

5. Blown front driver strut (replaced with KYB).

6. Rear speakers cutting out.

7. Can't get the damn header flange bolts off to install my BBK H-pipe! I've been working on it for a week- got the drivers side bolts drilled out and ready to go. The passenger side is a real pain in the ass- had to buy longer drill bits, and can't cut the nut off of one of them.

Apparently, the bolts are threaded into the flange, and then secured further on both sides by two nuts! They had become so rusted together over the years that I absolutely could not budge them.

I dont mind having to put mine up for the winter, gives it a nice break and keeps the miles down more. Now that I have something nice to drive yr round and for the winter I dont dread putting the car up like I did last yr.

Transmission T-5 (was under warrenty at the time)
O2 sensors (2x)
Trim around center A/C vents is loose

Other then that for almost 10years of driving hard not to shabby. 165k miles and never changed the timing chain yet Just about to start some mod's on this stang.

1) Round 2 screaming at insurance companies
2) Smog tube resting against header melting it and leaving a nice hole. Probably wont fix it either.
3) Blew up trans
4)1 header bolt is missing and I probably wont get another one.
5)Used to have an oil leak. Dont know why it went away.
6)Drivers side door lining that has the little pocket and switches has only 2 clips holding it in. So it moves when I pull the door closed.

Other than that. Great car.

Well,
- throw out bearing twice in a year on the clutch
- sincro in 1st gear tranny

- gas tank seal
- and leaking rad (now getting fixed)

so far, meh, okay i guess... stupid throw out bearing...
oh and i need new kuhmo tires.
