But hey if you own a mustang you work on a mustang, i was 16 when i bought the car, and after having to fix this many problems with part time pay and little help, me and my friend had to do it all. the only thing we havent done so far is gears. car runs great now, only thing i havent fixed yet is the tranny, and thats next.

had the car 2 1/2 years.

Water pump (first wk)
EGR valve
EGR sensor
Shocks and Struts
cigerette lighter's dont work
fog lamps out
TFI module
Battery cables
tires
thermostat
Anti Lock brake sensor
air bag light
cruise control button broken
blown speakers
PCV valve and screen
bad Cat
bent tie rod ends
leaking rack and pinon
slow oil leak
bad harmonic balancer
and yesterday someone keyed my fender

God I love my car :bang:

oh yeah nearly forgot warped rotors and broken door panel (the part with the window buttons on it, the clip is broke and it rattles all the time. Sounds like I have a field full of crickets on my back seat. :notnice: )

Well since I bought the car in 1999, Things that I had to replace from them going bad.

water pump.
harm. ball (2nd one is bad so I am going on my 3rd).
t-stat.
clutch (also the sencond one I just installed not bad since its an autozone special and I launce on n2o and not very kind to it) has a 100% replacement warranty.
ccrm (ford said it was bad but I kinda doubt it)
no- e brake rubber boot.
rip in the front seat (my fault as I was painting with a company one summer and had a putty knife in my back pocket  ).
ECT sensor went bad

The biggie was the motor well it still ran but there was a 33% drop in cyl. press. on #4. I recently took it apart and that piston lit. fell right out onto the floor without having to push it out. There was oil all over that piston and oil in the ring grooves and running down the sides, the piston was black and just coated in carbon. I think the rings just had enough and I also had a bad n2o backfire. Also upon inspecting the bearings they were starting to show alot of wear giving further proof it was time for a rebuild or replacement.

Other than that I have replaced alot of the car with aftermarket stuff, and it has been a good solid car.

Currently:

1) Tailpipe rattling against frame.
2) Missing power (timing low or messed up plugs) :bang:
3) Won't start on the first try after a short shut down.
4) Rubber piece on corner is loose and flapping in the wind.
5) Top needs replacing.
6) Interior needs renovating.

CALDWELL: there's a thread about that humming noise.. if i remember correctly it has something to do with a ground not being hooked up correctly... i'll see if i can locate it:

Wow, that's pro.
I appreciate that man, whole heartedly!
I owe you one.
:nice:

Now i can drive without flickering the bloody radio on and off
HAHA WOoo!!! :D

Wow, from everyone else posts, seems like Ive been pretty lucky. Ive had to fix:

-Waterpump
-balancer
-gas tank grommet
-top ($$$$$ :bang: )

Right now the only issue my car really has is running hot. Its been like that for almost a year and a half now :nonono: . Started when I put my LTs and offroad x on. Im hoping an EGR eliminator will have it mysteriously vanish, otherwise its time for a Fluidyne. Its so annoying, the car wont overheat, just go all the way up the A on the gauge and stay there. And in any situation, even on the highway  .
